Volunteer

Share what you've been through. Help someone who's struggling.

If you've lived with the loss of someone you love, you've learned things that someone newly grieving needs to hear. The Healing Center is built around real voices like yours. Sit with us for one online conversation, and we'll turn it into a series of short videos structured to reach people on their time and in their most challenging moments.

Volunteers should have at least a year of experience living with their grief since their loss.

How it works

  1. 01

    Tell us about yourself

Fill out a short form below. It takes about three minutes.

  2. 02

We'll reach out for a brief call

A 15-minute conversation. We'll answer your questions, explain how the recording works, and confirm this feels like a good fit.

  3. 03

    One online recording session

About 30–40 minutes, on a date that works for you. You join a video chat from your laptop or desktop browser — no install, just click a link in your browser. You respond to simple questions in your own words.

  4. 04

    Review before anything is published

Your single session becomes a series of short videos. You review and approve every one before it goes live on the platform. You can withdraw any clip at any time.

What we record

We provide topics and questions in advance. Once in the call, we'll explore some of your experience across the phases of grief. A few examples of topics we may cover include:

  • Getting the diagnosis
  • Saying goodbye
  • The first year
  • Parenting while grieving
  • What people said that helped (and didn't)
  • What you wish you had known
  • Building a life after loss

What you can count on

  • You are listed only by first name and last initial.
  • You review finished video before we publish.
  • You can withdraw at any point, no questions asked.
  • There is no cost to you. Ever.
